Printclub London - Blisters Blackout

Print Club London's annual BLISTER poster show is now confirmed for 3rd december and they have just opened a call for submissions. The show will feature 40 Illustrators. 40 Editioned and hand signed prints. 40 Pounds each. This year they are asking every one to add a ‘glow in the dark’ element to their poster design. They will be ‘Blacking Out’ the venue at points during the opening night so the posters can really GLOW! More info on the website.

Kitsune, Saru and Tanuki - three characters created for the forthcoming 3939 shop, an online boutique store and physical shop - launch planned for October 2010. Please include the following information:
1. Your name
2. The title and date of the work
3. The medium of the work
4. A brief profile of yourself and any web links you require
5. A reserve price (for bidding to start from)

Your work should be preferably submitted framed. We will arrange to receive the actual artwork from you at a later date. A selection of 50 works will be chosen for auction and the remainder will be sold via the website after this day.

GIFTED is an art auction for charity the first of which was held in London in July 2008. It was created by Stephen Gilbert with the help of Wendy Chapple (St Martins). I will be involved in the organization of GIFTED #2 to be held in May 2009. Call for entries is now open and the deadline is March 2009. The first auction raised £7,000 for Macmillan Cancer Relief and Havens Hospices. Check out the GIFTED Facebook group. Website coming next year.
